What does Fernbrook Build?

We don’t just build high quality buildings.  We build firm, solid relationships with everyone from our contractors to our supply chain to make sure that rigorous specifications, tight deadlines and complex projects get the absolute attention they demand from everyone.

In the four decades that we’ve been in the industry, we’ve learned that to ensure the best and most timely project outcome, early involvement of all parties and a collaborative approach is the most successful way of doing things; consistently allowing us to meet our client’s needs.

Our experienced team have worked on a wide range of projects, from small retail units to large, bespoke developments.

Our building services include:

New Builds & Commercial

Fernbrook acquired a site in 2018 for a new property development project

They obtained planning permission for a mixed-use development comprising four retail units and five houses

Construction of the development took place over a 12-month period

The retail units were built to cater to local businesses and residents, providing much-needed amenities to the area

Fernbrooks decision to keep the retail units as an investment property allowed them to generate rental income from the property

Renovations

Former White Lion pub in Moulton:

The former White Lion pub in Moulton was converted into two properties by Fernbrook in 2016/17

The two properties were built to a high specification, catering to the needs and preferences of modern living

The conversion of the former pub demonstrates Fernbrooks ability to identify and convert unique properties into attractive residential developments

The Ridings:

Fernbrook owned The Ridings, an empty space that was converted into 24 student accommodations in 2018/19

The conversion project was successful, and the completed scheme is now part of the Fernbrook Investments portfolio

The Ridings’ student accommodations cater to the needs of students, providing comfortable living spaces close to their universities or colleges

Re-modelling

Fernbrook purchased a disused industrial warehouse in 2016 for a remodeling project

They successfully obtained planning permission to convert the warehouse into 5 separate units and offices

The remodeling project involved the demolition of parts of the warehouse, and the addition of new floors, walls, roof, cladding, drains, and carparks

Following the completion of the remodeling project, four of the units were sold as freehold to buyers

Fernbrook retained the fifth unit and leased it to Tool Station on a long-term lease

Conversions

Fernbrook acquired a site in 2008 from HSBC Bank for a conversion project

They successfully obtained planning permission to convert the ground floor of the building into two restaurants, which are now occupied by Nandos and Prezzos

In addition to the restaurants, Fernbrook converted the first, second, and third floors of the building into high-quality office accommodation

The completed conversion project is now held within Fernbrook investment portfolio

The converted offices and restaurants are of high quality, catering to the needs and preferences of modern businesses and consumers

Eco Building Developments

Fernbrook purchased agricultural land in Rothwell in 2009 for an eco-build project

They successfully obtained planning permission to construct an anaerobic digestion waste processing facility on the land, with the aim of converting food waste into green energy

The construction of the facility was carried out with a focus on eco-friendliness and sustainability

The green energy generated by the plant was supplied to the national grid, providing a valuable source of renewable energy

The acquisition company was sold in 2016, reflecting the success of the eco-build project.

SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION

On all of our projects, we strive to:

  • reduce construction, demolition and excavation waste to landfill
  • reduce carbon emissions from construction processes and associated transport
  • ensure products used in construction are responsibly sourced
  • reduce water usage during the construction process
  • carry out biodiversity surveys and following up with necessary actions

We are experienced in fitting energy efficient technology such as air source heat pumps, CHP systems, and rain water harvesting.

Looking for a partner for your next building project?

We are interested in pieces of land, on a small or large scale that you consider may offer development potential. This can be a factory site, derelict buildings, a house with excess garden space etc.
